Last one...............

oh, my goodness!!! I never thought I would be writing this letter. it’s the last one, been a long two years, but it went by so very fast. I can’t believe it. I have a million mixed feelings. sad because I am not going to be preaching and helping all the Mexicans here. it’s been sooo fun and helping people feel the joy that the gospel brings to the people who have never even heard anything about it. it’s one of the best things ever to see a drug addict stop drugs for the Lord and knowing that you had a hand in that is a feeling that nobody can describe. or helping a family change completely and making plans to get sealed in the temple. I love the mission so much. it is those best two years that everyone always talks about. I am sad on that side of things.

I’m also happy that I’m going to be able to see my family this next week! and everyone else!! I don’t know how ready I am but it’s time to start the real life. I think the mission prepared me a ton. I still have a lot to learn but the things I’ve learned here have changed me and I’m very excited to put in practice the things that I’ve learned. what a great opportunity be in the Lords work for two years.

thanks, all of you, for reading my letters throughout these two years even though it feels like it went by so fast. I love you all!!

everyone who is waiting for me in the airport just know that I’m going to hug My mother first, nobody get in the way haha

you’re all invited to my homecoming on the 27th!!!

everyone who wants to we are going to sing yo se que vive mi
Señor in the sacrament meeting. everyone who wants to is invited

love you all!!!

This week was a good one. we had three baptisms. a family and they are completely changed since that last time we saw them. I love them so much. it’s an exciting thing to see them start to progress and their plan is to get sealed in the temple in one year. I’m excited to see them. there.}

it’s been a great ride and I only got a little bit more time but what an awesome time it is. we are finding a bunch of families chosen to receive the gospel. it’s so fun to be a part of this.

sad that its coming to an end but excited to see my you all soon.

Amazing things still happening!

Wow the Lord just blesses us so much and I don’t even know why!!!
this week we were looking for some families that are inactive for a couple years, we didn’t have a lot of success and it was sucky going to 20 houses and not finding many people my feet got bruised let alone the blisters haha but that’s so normal now, anyways so we were walking and a man called us from his van and said hey I have like 5 years inactive and I want to start going to church again. where’s the church at?? haha we were like wow. that’s so cool. he is so excited for us to visit him. we hope that he was being real when he said that. don’t think that his wife is a member and their address was not on the lists. still seeing miracle every day.
we have some investigators that promised to not ever work on Sundays again. and they are going to put The Lord first in all things. there baptismal date is the 13th of November their names are Francisco Isabel and Diegito. we had a lesson and my comp and I were on divisions so I was teaching because the brother was not very .......uhhh talkful? haha but the spirit was still strong. during the lesson, he told us that he felt the sprit in church on Sunday and that whenever we come he feels the same thing. it was such a great lesson. and then at the end he said that when I was promising them that The Lord will bless them for keeping the commandments that I started glowing... weird because I didn’t feel or see that I was glowing but that’s what he said, I hope it was The Lord testifying to him that his is all true. they will be baptized here soon and they are creating good relationships in the church.

What a great week and I’m learning a little bit more on the guitar because my comp play good.

I love you all!!!!

Miracles every day.

There is not a day that goes by where I don’t see a miracle. it’s so fun to be in the mission. anything you need the Lord provides a way. we just put our trust in him and then everything comes through.

our convert is still going really good Jorge and also Imelda. they are both so great. we are actually going to have a family home evening with Jorge and another family from the ward today. it’s so awesome that the ward is helping us so much. there is no blessing greater than the members of the ward who come out and work with us and help us get the work going. it really is one of the greatest blessings.

also Jorges mom is helping us a lot also. she washes our clothes every week BY HAND. it leaves our clothing so white and clean!!

I love you all! we are going to have another baptism on the 12 of November so we are helping a family prepare for that

love you all!!!1

Hello Yall

Wow. been a while since I sent a nice long email with pics. I’m sorry it’s just that we’ve been super busy and sometimes we really don’t have time to even do the things we want to do on our p days but I’m excited because today I have a little bit of time.

so we had an investigator get married. her name is Imelda. she is so cool. like I said she is old and very sick. she probably won’t be alive for very much longer and she is knows that. but she told the Lord that she only wanted to make it to her baptism. so she got baptized and then confirm during conference weekend because she almost died the day before and so just to make sure she was confirmed in the service. that’s not normal because we usually have to wait until a sacrament meeting but because of the situation we got it done. she didn’t die. she’s actually looking healthier than she did when she got baptized a week ago.

Another investigator, his name is Jorge Rodriguez. we started teaching him and even the first week we taught him he accepted to be baptized. his first baptismal date was the 15th of October but because of amazing progress we moved it up one week to the 8th of October. he is an alcoholic and drug addict and smokes but he stopped it all cold turkey. it was hard and he fell a couple times but he is so strong right now. he cried after he fell and we told him that the Lord doesn’t care as long as he repents and keeps trying. he fell two weeks before his baptism and was convinced that he was not going to be able to get baptized and was fighting with his mom because she had told us that he drank and got drugged but we went and told him that if he would repent with all his heart and not do it again he could get baptized. he cried and even though before we went in there they had been fighting his mom as she heard that he could still get baptized started balling because she was so happy and he was also crying and he stood up and kissed his mom on the cheek and said sorry and said that he was going to work as hard as he could to not fall again. well he made it. he got baptized and all of his family was there. after he got baptized his mom stood up to bear her testimony. she had been a member of 12 years and nobody else in her family are members, she was inactive for the last 3 years and reactivated with her son going to church and said that all 12 years she prayed to let one of her children would make it there with her and be a member. she cried and testified with power that the church is true. after that Jorge got up and was crying. he also testified that the church was true and called us his angels. everyone was crying and the spirit was so strong. BEST BAPTISM ever.

anyways my comp got transferred but I’m gonna send some pics and a video. I have a new comp his name is Elder Soto. he’s one of my good friends and is going to teach me some hymns on the guitar. I’m excited.

Just wanted to finish with my testimony. I know this work is of the Lord. I know that he needed me here. I love it. it’s the best place I could have ever been. The Lord has molded me and changed me a ton. I’m honestly a little scared to get home and in front the world but I feel prepared. I am so very grateful that the Lord called me to come on a mission and I am and will be eternally grateful. The Lord has so many things instore for everyone. search him and you will find yourself. I am striving to Love the Lord... I’m not quite there yet but hope to one day be there. I love you all especially for your support and especially my mom. I know this seems like a finish the mission testimony but I still got a little bit to go and I’m going to give it all I got. I love you all

Good Week

We had to do exchanges with a couple of Elders this week because of things that happened and we got it all figured out and it was just a misunderstanding but it kinda sucked because we didn't get to visit a lot in our area..

But we do have an investigator that is going to get baptized this week. Her name is Imelda. She is like 75 years old but seriously has the soul of a 20 year old. She laughs with us and tells us jokes and it is so awesome. To tell who gives the prayer she makes her hand a pistol and shoots it. I have a video of our dance party hahah I will send it next week. I forgot my camera...

Everything is great here just not a lot of sleep because of stress and things to plan and do. But honestly it's going really good.  I love you all!

Transferz!

So there’s been a couple of changes!

The Ochoa family at last let us come and we had some lessons with them. and then on Sunday my comp and I got transferred and they came by the house super late and said goodbye. the young kid that’s 16 years old had tears in his eyes...

we helped a couple of families started going to church and one came up to me and said thank you and that after his 8 years that he’s been in the church even though he wasn’t active that only 4 missionaries he felt the same way that he feels about me.  it was way cool. they will be getting sealed in like 2 months and they want me to be there. super cool.

another family went and bought us ties because they felt like we helped them. honestly. I just loved that area. it’s hard to be leaving. I’m kind of scared because I gave everything to that area and now I have to do it again I my new area but now I have to worry about the zone as a zone leader. I’m super tired and it’s really hard the mission but I see miracles every day. I love The Lord. it’s been the best and to finish I’m gonna give my all but when I get home I’m going to be in my bed and nobody can talk to me for two days. hahaha

I got to see the fruits of my labors when I went to my area that I was in a year ago. it was awesome. Two of them are passing the sacrament every week. on her family is going to church and her family (who totally rejected us when I was there) are going to church! And one is preparing to go on a mission! I’m so happy about it. I love them. my comp said I looked like a 10-year-old on Christmas when I was talking to them. I really got to a point where I loved them for realz.

I love you all! I hope that everything is good at home!

have a great week!

"Photos didn't work"

So this is the photos of the activity we did the other day... it was super cool. this whole transfer we’ve spent it doing things on P day that are super fun but suck out all our energy. My body always tells me not to do it but then we do it and I’m super tired but I’m getting super skinny haha we just hope that my muffin top is gone by the time I get home! haha

So this week we went with one of the families (Ochoa) that we have been teaching who is super cool. We talked about baptism. he got really heated and didn’t want to understand that we need the priesthood. So we had to just tell him to pray about it and he didn’t look convinced... it sucks because he’s super cool and his family also. I’m pretty sure we are going to be able to help him receive an answer but he doesn’t really like the religions but his family wants to be more united so this will be the thing that will help them.

The other family (Zuñiga) are doing super well yesterday he was asking for ideas of ways to do better and change.

Also there’s another person that I talked to yesterday in the bus. He left his wife 7months ago because he caught her cheating on him. He was super depressed for a long time. But he really is humble and willing to learn. he liked the lesson yesterday.

This week we understood how dope the card game Play Nine is. It’s so fun. Everyone that played it with us is addicted hahaha

Anyways. I love you all!  My comp also says hi!!!

Uhh....Sorry

So just wanted to say sorry for the last two weeks and for today....

Not alot of time but the mission life is going super super great. I love my area and I feel great. I feel super happy all the time and I don’t know why the Lord is blessing me so much.

This week we found a family that is so great. They are super ready to hear the gospel. The first day the were super defensive but we played it super calm and they were all happy that we didn’t react and now he said he’s going to stop smoking. He also told us that his family felt a peace and felt super great when we shared the message and he said he’s going to do all he can to change. His wife actually had a baby in between the days that we met them and they let us hold him it was so cool... anyways... I love you all

Time goes by way way to fast

                                                                     Written July 18, 2016

Every six weeks we have a transfer. I was looking at it and I only have 3 transfers left in the mission. That’s 4 and a half months. It’s going by so fast. If anyone has the secret of how to slow down time can you please let me know.

We are so busy always. We do divisions with people and we still don’t have enough time to visit everyone and then they call us and we have to leave the area for two days and it’s driving me crazy haha but that’s probably why time goes by so fast.

We are helping a couple of families get reactivated. They are so excited because they are all like a group now and have family home evening every week together with the Elders quorum Pres. and they are going every week and we just gave them another family that they have to also help get reactivated. Super exciting. They always invite us to eat dinner also one of them live really close and they give us pizza and tostadas and things. It’s super awesome. We are probs gaining wait but I’m not even mad haha

I love this area. I’m pretty sure ill only be here for another 6 weeks but we are trying to do all we can leave it better then we found it.

Anyways I love you all!!! I hope that everything is going good in your lives!

Hey Yall

                                                                              Written July 4, 2016

So this week has been a great week. We have so much work here in this area and we have been finding ways to help the investigators and to get the members to start working with us! Is going great so far! We actually doubled our lessons this last week. So that was cool.

My companion is super spiritual and always tries to have the spirit. It helps so much because if we don’t have the spirit then we can’t teach. It’s a lot more fun to teach when you have the spirit.

So this week we were in a family home evening that some families have been getting together and doing. We talked about how a friend of the world is just there to support you but a real friend is there to not only support you but to help you progress in every aspect of your life. We have three investigators that are going to go tonight. It’s going to be so awesome.

We have this investigator who’s really funny. The one I was telling about last week from the US his name is Felix and he is so funny. He’s serious during the lessons but we had to walk from his house to the house of a member and he wanted to go. So we went and it was a funny walk and then we had a great lesson. He wants to get baptized but he wants to see one first. Good thing we are going to have one this week.

So Juan Manuel he is going to get baptized this week. He looked a little bit shocked when they announced it in sacrament meeting but when all the members were telling him congratz he got a little bit loosened up and felt better. So that was cool to see and then he came to us to make sure everything was all ready for his baptism. It’s going to be great.

My comp wanted to knock on the door of some people that honestly look a little bit crazy and like drug addicts but because he felt that we went back to that house and knocked the door. And the girl who answered is so excited and wants a change in her life. She wants to find out more and is going to invite her family to listen also! Way awesome

Well that’s all for this week but I love you all!!!

A couple of crazy weeks

                                                                          Written June 27, 2016

What a great couple of weeks!  We have been working our butts off because everyone wants us to visit them and then we have to find time to find new people to teach and we have to teach the investigators that are close to baptism and then the ones who were being taught but still haven’t gone to church. It’s super fun here and my comp is learning so quickly

So two weeks ago. I went to a meeting on Monday and Tuesday we received our comps in Guadalajara and came to our area, got here at about 8:30 and unpacked a lil.  Got a little house which is awesome in a private neighborhood and there are guards that we pay 20 pesos a week. So you can be calm mom.

We have been going with the members and they give us some really, really tasty food. Here if I don’t eat healthy at home or do exercise I will get fat haha so I’m doin that. We just got done buying fruits and veggys and my backpack weighs like 40 lbs. haha

So the week after that we went to the houses of a couple members and we taught them to say prayers in English and they were all really excited. We taught a couple investigators who have a while in teaching and they decided to set a date for baptism the 9th of July. Only one of those dates is still standing.

This week we had to go to Guadalajara and when we went we went in the most luxurious bus and sat in captains chairs and the tickets cost 580 pesos and that’s almost all I had hahaha so I just got money today. But on the way home President Egginton gave us a ride because they were passing through. Super cool to be with him for a couple hours.

We found a new investigator, his name is Tony and he’s 21 years old. We went with him and he said he didn’t believe in God. Then said that God is like an imaginary friend but when you talk to him and call him God people don’t judge you. So we had a lesson and when we told him about the first vision he said "Are you serious?" and then when he said the last prayer it was a great prayer and when he finished he said "whoa" and asked when we were gonna come again. He is reading the Book of Mormon it’s just hard for him to get up and go to church. But he is working on it. He accepted a baptismal date for the 30th of July but it fell because he didn’t go to church but when he starts going to church we will help him with another.

Anyways, it rains a lot at night but not as much during the day. It’s a great place to be in the mission field. I miss you all a lot but I’m having more fun over here haha. I love this place and honestly Mexicans are awesome, they have big hearts and are very respectful towards us. Except the guys who dumped beer on us last week... you should probably disregard that comment mom hehe

In my studies yesterday and today I read the talk "beware of pride!" by Ezra Taft Benson. Everyone should read it. It’s a super big eye opener. We are all super big sinnners in pride.

Love you all!!

Wow this week was awesome!!!

I have a new missionary and he’s awesome! his name is Elder Platero! he is a hard worker and already knows Spanish he is from California but he looks Mexican hahah he’s so excited to be here and want to do all he can to do the Lords work here.

Last this last week we had to work really hard because we didn’t know our area and they gave us a phone without minutes but they left us with teaching records so we were able to find some people who were being taught. They are really good and we also found some others but there was a lot of walking and asking people for help with directions. We both gave a talk on yesterday.  My comp on the sacrifices on going to the temple and mine on obedience. It was a great day and we were able to get to know lots of the members. and I saw some of the members from the ward I was in before.

We had cool experiences but I’ll have to tell them next week!!!

love you guys!!!

Transfers!!!

                                                                            Written June 6, 2016

So the reason I don’t have time is because I got transferred! I’m going to an area that’s in Michoacán in Zamora and its really hot there. So we will see how it goes. I’m really excited I’m receiving a new elder tomorrow and are going to go to the area tomorrow I’m gonna love being there with him. He’s cool, I’ve met him because he’s the only elder that came this transfer. Super awesome. I’m excited

This week we gave a blessing to someone in a hospital and we got lucky because the guard was not there when we went in and so we just walked in and it was just family that was suppose to visit her but we didn’t know (haha oops) she had a bunch of complications with a surgery that she had and had a week of throwing up and being really week. The blessing was on Thursday and on Friday she was strong, stopped throwing up and went home.

Well I love you all and I’m sorry I couldn’t write a lot

Elder Anderberg

A great two weeks!

So sorry to all who have been reading, Mom's had a lot on her plate lately.  But updates are all in today.

                                                                                                    Written May 30, 2016

The last two weeks have been great! last week we went to Guadalajara to play sports with the Zone and then with the assistants! it was way fun even though I left super sun burned it was worth it!

So two weeks ago we went to a leadership counsel meeting, it was way fun. I love being with the leaders of the mission because there’s such a great spirit of love. it was fun along with a great learning experience and its nice to get some help about how to help other missionarys get better.

I’ve been writing in my journal so that an update.

This week we had our last meeting with our district and some bought pizza for us and it was delisious. that was a fun district to be in.

We had the opportunity to be present in a Patriaricle Blessing of a brother who is in the branch. I wanted to share this because it was so cool.

We were sitting down and the patriarch started talking and I literally felt something run through my whole entire body. it was so cool. during the blessing I started crying and I didn’t know why! probably because I felt so good! it was one of the best experiences that vie had in the mission. I felt the spirit through out my whole entire body. it was so great.

We have some new goals.

1. Always be real or in other words never fall in a routine. be your self always

2. Never be selfish because that’s the only way bad things happen in your life.

Anyways I love you all!!!

I hope you have a great week!!

Mothers Day!!

Written May 16, 2016

we had the mother’s day late! we bought them roses and made them food and then a member bought a really expensive small cake and gave it to the moms (and us for organizing everything but don’t tell!)

Then we made two teams

would have been nice if they all had husbands to have it be a competition between the two but since they don’t we and the young kids and like one dad had to be on one team and the moms on the other!

we gave the moms huge advantages like we bobbed for apples and the moms had the stems and the dads team no

or we had to move coco puffs from one cup to another and it was way close for the moms and the dads team it was super far away. and then we did the thing that you have to move the cookie from your forehead to your mouth and the moms three of them did it (I helped a mom by pushing one in her mouth hahahaha) and for the dads team the cookies ran out so we had to use chips and that was way hard, only one did it and the moms won.

so the prize was..................

Great week

Written May 9, 2016

Well the high lights of this week.

1 talked to mom and the fam!

2 Dad was there!

3 it rained! Woo!

4 I played in the rain!

5 I’m a happy camper! I have to explain why.......

well the other day we were walking and went to go see some less active members and she said her husband was at work so we couldn’t enter and we were leaving and a girl came up to us crying and asking for us to help her with a message and to teach her that nobody understands her and she was just super excited to hear the gospel and super prepared in her heart. it was a great lesson and even though she didn’t go to church we are going to help her get there next week and she will be something to help the church in this little branch.

I taught the seminary class on dispensations and I know a lot more then I thought and they all understood and so it was a great class!

we had someone give a talk and his message was super good but it was him scolding everyone who didn’t want to repent and the ones who wasn’t living the gospel.

and one reason not to be happy.

there was a member that we went and did visits with on Tuesday and he had to use the bathroom and didn’t say anything until we left and then he didn’t think he was going to make it so he ran into our house and went to the pot. nothing came out, he came out and the pain was so bad that he started sweating and then we gave him a blessing and then he passed out, we called the ambulance and the came and got him and then everything went well from there. he was there on Sunday and gave a powerful testimony of how the blessing helped him forget about the pain.... hehe or pass out but either way he didn’t feel it anymore until he woke up when the ambulance got there. it was a scare but I had to drive his car to put it in the garage because nobody new how to drive stick so that’s cool usually we don’t drive here haha

well that was my week! I would love to hear about yours!!!

Love yall!!!

Elder Anderberg!

"Wickedness never was happiness"

Written May 2, 2016

So some guy talked to us the other day and asked us to help him stop drinking and so we taught him a lil bit we got him to dump out his beer he did and said he was going to go to the house of prayer and then we left. He didn’t go but this morning we left our house and he was down the street and I waved to him and he told us to come over, so we went over and he told us he had still been drinking and he wants to stop. we told him ok. and then he told us that he thought he was going to die. that he was so scared and didn’t know what to do because he can’t stop drinking. he almost started crying and then he told us that his heart felt like little needles poking it and we walk him to his house and called the ambulance. I was up the street asking a member to call and my comp was with him, I was watching and he started having a seizure. so I ran over there and we took him out of the chair and put him on the ground and put him on his side. we held his hand and were with him while his family didn’t even care about what was going on. he stopped and then was in shock for a min and then we helped him up and put him in the chair and the ambulance got there. kind of a weird experience. I guess we did something right? I mean he didn’t die. so that’s good. maybe he will stop drinking. #missionlyfe

we I’m learning a big lesson. it’s been kinda cool these last couple of weeks. I’ve been learning that the desires to have tons of money and cars and houses really isn’t the way to happiness. I learned it a long time ago but it hasn’t really sunk in because I kept thinking about how I wanted to be super rich when I get home but that’s not what life is about. if you look at the examples in the book of Mormon, the people who were righteous were the ones who prospered, with money and food and everything they needed and more. but what I’ve learned is even money can’t satisfy the happiness that the gospel brings when you live it. a lot of people think that the people who live the gospel and are happy are just in a fantasy land but it’s true. if we trust the Lord literally everything will come. we are going to have to work to get better but we can focus on the gospel and make sure we are living it and then the other things, our life will be better. WE WILL BE HAPPY!!! THERE IS NO OTHER WAY. THE OTHER HAPPINESS IS FAKE! ITS NOT REAL!!!! the only true way to have a happy eternal family is live the gospel the best we can. and try and be perfect. THERFORE "Wickedness never was happiness" Alma 41:10

I love you all!!! I miss yall but I get to talk to Mom next week!!! woo!!!
