What A Week!!

So to start off this week sorry that I didn’t tell you last week that our p day is today hah we had a change in mission president and he didn’t want to come on a p day for some reason, but here we are. we had a meeting with the president for his last on and since we live like way out of the way we had to sleep somewhere else on Monday night wake up at 230 (ya didn’t sleep) and go and I made friends with an elder who lives in Orem he’s super cool but we left for Guadalajara at5 in the morning and it was horrible because they were singing in the bus and so we just ended up talking it was fun but I didn’t sleep for 36 hours and then we slept for 8 hours and worked and it was terrible haha  but the meeting we had was good and I learned a lot....

So this week I had an amazing experience, me and my companion were doing divisions with the first and second counselors of this ward and so we left and went for two new investigators in our area, totally met with this guy and he was so cool. He had lived in Las Vegas in a hard life for time and spent time in prison but that where he found out that God lives and so he started studying the bible a lot and he totally believes in the things we believe and he wants to be close to God. Usually we share a message about the restoration but I felt impressed to share with him Faith in Jesus Christ but to use scriptures from the book of Mormon so that what I did and he was so impressed and the scriptures were exactly what he was saying about faith and it was so perfect. I followed the spirit and it was perfect he asked questions about things that the answer is only in the book of Mormon like about how we have this life with our family and how miracles don’t happen in these days and why the pastor at the catholic church has a bmw and was asking for more money for his tithing and he believes exactly what we believe and he wants to learn more and he is so excited! The spirit has never been so strong and I swear God put him right into our hands. The Lord is preparing people every day to hear our message. I pray every day to have an experience like that and when it happened it was amazing.

So we were leaving I knew that his mom was sick but when we were leaving she asked if we could say a prayer for her and we said would you like a blessing??  And she said yes! so the first counselor anointed the oil and then I sealed it and in Spanish there’s two different ways to say you which is Usted and Tú and when you give a blessing you talk in Tú so and we talk usually in Usted so I am always nervous to give a blessing because it’s hard for me to talk that way but this time I didn’t have any fear. I knew what I needed to sat and said it. And when I finished almost everyone in the room was crying and the experience was just amazing.

Anyways! I love you all!!!

Have a Great week! Thanks to everyone who wrote me!!

Great Week!

Written June 22, 2015

This week started out terrible but then ended good!! When it started I had a fever and felt terrible but we worked anyways and even though for me it wasn’t productive I think our investigators learned a lot. I actually had the worst head ache I’ve ever had but in the end we found some golden investigators who I’m pretty sure will be baptized soon!!!

I have always been focused on love and charity because they are attributes of Christ and I know that one needs to have these attributes. but then I was thinking about how God punishes the people who are bad to humble them so I started to think more about the things that I needed to say even if I needed to say something that hurt people’s feelings with scriptures but got to the point because I thought that was loving them because That’s how God does it right? Well first I’m not God even though I hope one day I’ll be one. And second, why does God punish people. Well in BOM it says that God punishes to humble the people. But the people in Mexico are the most prideful people I have ever met. So I learned that I really can’t punish people because they take it the wrong way... so how do we do it? The answer is love them. It says in the bible that a father who doesn’t punish his children doesn’t love them but I’m not their father! It’s not my place to punish people! Sometimes I gotta tell some people things the help them know but if I do it with love they will listen. I have to love every single person like they are my brother.

I’m sorry that I wanted to read all the email today but everything other than I was sick as so great! Love you all and I’m excited to hear from you next week!!!

Love yall!!!

6 Months!!

Written June 15, 2015

Wow!! Totally got some emails reminding me that I only have 18 months left! Holy crap! That time went by so fast and I feel like I haven’t even done anything. It makes me want to work harder and just get some big nasty blisters on my feet so I can come home and say wow that was a great day!!

So the other day I got home and had two big nasty blisters on my feet and got home and said wow that was a great day! Honestly everything in this week was awesome! We found 14 new awesome investigators! And everything is just going so good for us!! We are working so hard and today I weighed myself for the first time in a while and I have officially lost 50 lbs. on the mission so far! All my clothes are too big and I’m so pumped about it!! In the service of the Lord he blesses us in ways we don’t think it’s going to come and in the ways it’s going to come also!!

This week we were teaching an investigator who is only 12 years old and has to work every day to provide for himself and his family because his mom didn’t have a job until last week but we were just about to end out lesson and he showed us a text that he tried to send to us but it didn’t send because he didn’t have saldo which is the Spanish word for minuets I think but anyways he had us read it out loud and it was his testimony that he knows that the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and that it’s the only true church in the world and that Thomas s Monson is the only true prophet and a little more but when we read that we almost started crying because he is so ready and has been working so hard to be baptized but we are just trying to work hard with his mom!

Everything is going so good thank you everyone who writes me!!1 hope everything is going great for everyone!!!

Love yall!!!
