So this week was super sweet!
I didn’t think that doing push up
would dome that much good but really it did haha I’m feeling good and when the teenagers
in the ward want to arm wrestle I’m ready.
We had an activity to find new
investigators where we showed meet the Mormons to the members and they bring their
friends and we had popcorn and soda and treats and it was awesome. We got like
15 new investigators from the members and they are super great and listen so well
and they are so awesome. It was a great activity even though we had some technical
difficulties but we got it handled and it was smooth after that. We found an additionally
family this week that started listening and they are very happy to be
listening. After we explained the restoration she told us that her family needs
a restoration and that she is happy we are there to help her.
in addition to that we have been
teaching a family since we got here like 5 months ago and she has come to
church only one time but her son like 10 times so we didn’t go with her for a
while but we returned and she said I’m glad to guys came back. She had an experience
that she didn’t have any money to buy her daughter milk so she went to ask
someone to burrow some money and she saw someone in the street that she gave
1000 pesos like 6 years ago but he promised to pay her back. She told him that
she needed the money to buy milk for her daughter and he said do you want the
money in cash or in cans of milk. She said it’s going to be used in the milk so
better in the milk and the next day someone rang the doorbell and left and she
opened the door and there was 15 cans of milk for her baby. With a note that
said I still owe you like 400 pesos more. But something that he said to her is
if I could give you a little bit of advice.... get close to God. And your life
will get better. And then we went over the next day and then yesterday she was
in church. It was a blessing that says it’s her time. And it completes
the promise that says God prepares the people. The first missionary’s planted a
seed with her 10 years and now we will finally see some fruit. I’m so excited
for her.
my companion of 5 and a half months
will be going home on the 9th of November but we are going to see if her and
her son can be baptized a day before he leaves Zacapa.
I love you all and I’m excited to
hear from yall! Tell me what’s going on in your lives!!!!
